OPPORTUNITIES FOR ENGAGEMENT:
Jeff Street will be sending 14 youth and adults to Be-Loved Youth Camp June 28th-July 3rd. We need donations of COVID-19 tests to be able to attend camp! If you have unused, unexpired COVID tests, please consider donating them to our Youth Camp.
Additionally, you may give to Be-Loved Youth Camp goers by purchasing items needed for camp at the following Amazon link. Items purchased via this link will be sent directly to camp. CLICK HERE TO DONATE!
OTHER AREA OPPORTUNITIES:
Ongoing Moral Monday events in connection with the Kentucky Poor People's Campaign. Please contact Beth Robinson or Pastor Amy for more details.
This past week, I took some time to go and participate with Grace Hope Presbyterian for their monthly senior food pantry. On the 3rd Tuesday of each month-- we gather from around 12:30-2:30 to help distribute food to seniors. There's a bit of heavy lifting, but this is a great opportunity to connect with this beautiful congregation and support getting food to those in need.
CLOUT invites us to attend Metro Council Meetings on June 11th and June 25th (the budget vote). The meetings start at 6pm, but we'll try to gather in the lobby at 5:30 to go in as a group. These meetings are opportunities to continue to make our voices heard as we advocate for funding for the Louisville Affordable Housing Trust Fund to add Permanent Supportive Housing to their list of priorities for Louisville.
Regularly Scheduled/Ongoing events:
Every Sunday morning in person and via zoom - Worship from 11ish-12:30.
1st Wednesday of each month - Wednesday night Potluck Supper and Program 6:30-8pm (next one 2/4)
Other Wednesdays - gather on Zoom at 7:00pm
2nd Saturday of each month - Urban Goatwalker Coffeehouse 7-10pm
